Terms of Service

Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using Unpage. By creating an account or placing a website request, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. About Unpage

Unpage is a web platform that builds and hosts professional single-page websites for Malaysian businesses. The Service is operated by Unpage and is available at unpage.my.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into a binding contract under Malaysian law to use the Service. By registering, you confirm that you meet these requirements and that the information you provide is accurate.

3. Account Registration

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at support@unpage.my if you suspect unauthorised access. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

4. The Service

4.1 Website Creation

Upon completing onboarding and submitting a website request, our team will design and build a professional website tailored to your business information. You will receive a preview link within our standard turnaround time. We reserve the right to refuse requests that violate our Acceptable Use policy (Section 9).

4.2 Preview Period

Completed websites are made available for review during a preview period. You may extend the preview period from your dashboard. To keep your site live beyond the preview period, a paid subscription is required.

4.3 Live Hosting

An active subscription keeps your website live and accessible on your custom domain or our subdomain. We aim for 99.5% uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted service.

5. Subscription and Pricing

5.1 Plans

We offer monthly and annual subscription plans. Current pricing is displayed on our Pricing page. Prices are in Malaysian Ringgit (MYR) unless otherwise stated and are inclusive of applicable taxes.

5.2 Billing

Subscriptions are billed at the start of each billing period. Payments are processed securely by our third-party payment provider. By subscribing, you authorise us to charge the applicable fee to your selected payment method.

5.3 Renewal

Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless cancelled before the renewal date. We will notify you by email before each renewal.

5.4 Failed Payments

If a payment fails, we will attempt to notify you. Your website may be suspended until outstanding payment is settled. We are not liable for any loss arising from suspension due to failed payment.

6. Cancellation and Refunds

6.1 Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time from your dashboard. Cancellation stops the next renewal — it does not end the period you have already paid for. Your website remains live until the end of that period, and goes offline afterwards.

6.2 No refunds

Unpage is a subscription service, and subscription fees are non-refundable. We do not refund the current billing period, any earlier period, or the unused remainder of a period — including where you cancel part-way through it, stop using your website, or your account is terminated for a breach of Section 9. Cancellation is the remedy: you keep the service for the period you paid for, and you are not billed again.

Website creation is a bespoke service. Once our team has begun work on your site, the setup is likewise non-refundable, as are modification fees under Section 7.

Nothing in this section limits any right you may have under Malaysian consumer protection law. If you believe you have been billed in error, contact us at support@unpage.my and we will review the charge.

7. Modification Requests

After your website is completed, you may submit modification requests (content changes, design tweaks, new sections). Modifications are priced separately based on scope and complexity. A quote will be provided before any work begins. Modification fees must be paid before work commences. You may cancel a pending modification request before a quote is issued; once accepted, the fee is non-refundable.

8. Content and Intellectual Property

8.1 Your Content

You retain ownership of all content you submit (text, images, logos, brand assets). By submitting content, you grant us a non-exclusive licence to use it solely for building and operating your website.

8.2 Our Work Product

Upon full payment of all applicable fees, the design and code of your website are licensed to you for use on the Unpage platform. Ownership of our underlying templates, design system, and platform code remains with Unpage.

8.3 Our Platform

The Unpage name, logo, and all platform content are the intellectual property of Unpage. You may not copy, reproduce, or rebrand any part of our platform.

9. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Host content that is illegal, defamatory, obscene, or infringes third-party rights.
• Engage in phishing, fraud, or any deceptive practices.
• Distribute malware or conduct cyberattacks.
• Violate any applicable Malaysian law or regulation.
• Misrepresent your identity or business.

We may immediately suspend or terminate your account and website if we determine, at our sole discretion, that you have violated this policy.

10. Domains

10.1 Your own domain

You may connect a custom domain you already own to your Unpage website. In that case you remain responsible for registering, renewing, and managing that domain with your chosen registrar, and Unpage is not responsible for domain-related issues, including expiry or DNS misconfiguration.

10.2 Domains we register for you

Where a domain is included with your plan or provided under a promotion — such as the free domain offered to annual subscribers, capped at RM50 — we register it on your behalf and connect it to your site. The domain is registered for your business and remains yours.

10.3 What we manage

For domains we register, our management covers Unpage-related services only: the DNS records required to serve your website, and the SSL certificate for it. Anything beyond that — including email routing, records for third-party services, subdomains not used by your Unpage site, and transfers to another registrar — is not included. Such requests may be carried out at an additional charge, or under our domain management package. Contact us for current pricing.

10.4 Renewal

A domain registration lasts one year. Any period covered by a promotion applies to the first year only. Renewal thereafter is charged at the registration provider's prevailing market rate for that domain at the time of renewal, plus a 20% Unpage handling fee. Because provider rates vary by extension and change over time, we do not guarantee a fixed renewal price; we will tell you the amount before the renewal date. You may decline renewal, or transfer the domain to a registrar of your choice, subject to clause 10.3.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by Malaysian law, Unpage shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, revenue, or business opportunities, arising out of or related to the Service. Our total aggregate liability shall not exceed the total fees paid by you in the three (3) months preceding the claim.

12. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement, except as required by Malaysian law.

13. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia. Any dispute arising from these Terms shall first be referred to good-faith negotiation. If unresolved within 30 days, the dispute shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Malaysia.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may revise these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
